Manulife Financial Corporation Securities Class Actions

Please note: The deadline to respond to a Notice of Rejection of Your Entire Claim dated December 21, 2018, has been extended to January 18, 2019.

Update: Please be advised that we are preparing to send out rejection letters to claimants whose claims have been fully rejected. Claims were deemed fully rejected for various reasons such as: (1) the claimant did not purchase or acquire any eligible shares during the Class Periods; (2) the claim did not calculate to a nominal entitlement (loss); (3) the claim is duplicative of another claim; (4) the claim was submitted by an excluded party; (5) the claimant did not purchases any shares on the Toronto Stock Exchange or while a resident of Quebec; or (6) the claimant failed to adequately cure their claim deficiencies. If you do not initially receive a letter it does not mean that you will receive payment, only that your claim is not fully rejected. If you have a fully or partially accepted claim but your pro rata entitlement under the Plan of Allocation is less than CAD$10.00, you will not receive payment per the terms of the Plan of Allocation.

Please note that due to the high volume and value of claims received it is anticipated that the pro-rata recovery will be very low. Distribution for eligible claims is scheduled to take place in the first quarter of 2019. For any and all questions regarding the rejection letters or any other aspect of the administration, please call the Administrator at 1-844-634-8911 or email
